Meet Our Officers

2007 - 2008

Billy Leonard, State President
Greetings fellow Business Professionals of America members! My name is Billy Leonard and I am excited to serve as your 2007-2008 State President. I am currently a senior at Lake Forest High School and this will be my third active year in BPA. I have competed in Interview Skills and Presentation Management Team while attending two state and national conferences. I am confident in the officer team this year, and hope that we can help make your year in BPA a success. My main goal for our organization this year is to achieve better communication lines between our state team, and our individual chapters. I believe that the only way to succeed as a student organization is to work together. The more we stay in touch, the more we will accomplish. I am ready to hear your ideas and willing to include them in the decision making process. Please feel free to contact me, and I look forward to meeting you in the near future. Best of luck for a productive and successful school year!

Anthony Wise, State Vice President
Good day, fellow Business Professionals of America members! First of all, I would like to thank everyone for electing me as one of the officers for our Business Professionals of America State Leadership Team. In my three years of high school, I have attended and participated in two state leadership conferences as well as two national leadership conferences. In addition, I served in many offices in school and as a previous junior class BPA representative for my local chapter. My personal goals for our association include developing personal relationships with all members of Business Professionals of America in the State of Delaware. I would also like to encourage middle level students to participate and stay involved in BPA at the secondary level. I also plan to support others in their desire to run for office. Serving as a local or state officer can be very beneficial as you work toward your future goals. As a member of the team, I will work to the best of my ability with the hope to have a very productive and successful year!

Taryn Buck, State Secretary
Welcome back! My name is Taryn Buck and I am a senior at Indian River High School. I am happy to be serving as your 2007-2008 Business Professionals of America State Secretary. I have been a member of BPA for four years now, and have competed in Economic Research Project, Computerized and Payroll Accounting. I have also had the opportunity to attend two national conferences. My junior year I became the Vice President of my school's chapter, which encouraged me to run for a state office. For the upcoming school year, I would like to increase membership of our organization, as well as encourage existing members to become more involved. Because this year will be my fourth and final in the organization, I hope to make it the best one yet!

Chanelle Reynolds, State Treasurer
My name is Chanelle Reynolds and I am your 2007-2008 Business Professionals of America, State Treasurer. I attend Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, Delaware. One past BPA experience included competing as part of my chapter’s Small Business Management Team. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to experience a real life business scenario and work together as a team. Another experience I had through BPA was going to the National Leadership Conference in New York City, New York. One of my goals for Business Professionals of America is to broaden the horizons of the organization by promoting BPA and increasing membership. Another goal of mine is to allow the Business Professionals of America local chapters to grow closer so we know each other when we all go to nationals. I am looking forward to get to know and work with you all during the 2007-2008 school year!
